Blue Crystal the desert iceberg
An ice hotel standing out beyond the desert of Dubai. It’s not a space age project, but the unbelievable idea of the German architects Frank and Sven Sauer, creators of the Hotel Blue Crystal.
The Blue Crystal is a huge iceberg standing out in one of the environments less suitable to its preservation, the torrid heat of the United Arab Emirates.
For this unbelievable structure to survive, the designers thought of a system of energy recovery with solar panels, very efficient and with a low environmental impact.
Luxury restaurants, underwater lounge room and a 5 levels ballroom for a blue panorama between ice and silence offshore from the Aran coast, whose Oriental world is attracted by its harmonic curves.
And to walk around this ice and crystal world, footprints and walk paths trace the way to plunge in the sea of Dubai and in its new ice hotel.
