Artisan Jewelry, crystals’ luxury
Interview with Roberto Attisani, owner of the company that personalized mobile phones and more
Among the items that most attracted the attention of the audience at the event Luxury & Yachts, there were the brightest creations of the Artisan Jewelry: mobile phones, USB keys, pens, laptops, rings decorated with tons of Swarovski crystals of many different colours so to create refined and intense nuances. The items are created with craftsmanship and strictly made in Italy. They can be found in selected jewelleries in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Luxgallery asked the owner of the company, Roberto Attisani, to recount the passages of his experience and projects.
What kind of crystals do you use for your creations?
We use original Swarovski crystals. We started with pens, that immediately brought to us great success. Then we thought of widening our production to other items and we started usability and reliability tests required for the manufacture of mobile phones. And as a domino effect, many other projects started being launched: for instance, I’ve been commissioned by a champagne maison to create collectible bottles, and by a perfumes’ maison to create a thousand special perfume bottles.
Have you ever thought of numbering the pieces?
We do no create numbered items, every article is hand-made and the crystals are glued one by one, so that each item results being different from another. Moreover, we create personalized objects on request by the clients, shaping them according to the style and personality of each customer.
How was your passion for jewellery born?
I started off manufacturing Plexiglas. With this material you can do anything. For fun I then started creating rings made of Plexiglas, and these made me known: they were lips-shaped and were decorated with black pearls. From this experience the idea of creating jewels originated. Initially there were gold and silver items decorated with diamonds and precious stones. Afterwards, as I mentioned before, crystal items were introduced. Swarovski crystals create a very special shell, able to decorate an item that can’t be considered other than a niche product.
