Chanel in a book
The designer of elegance protagonist of 2009
Two films and two books, Coco Chanel is the unquestioned star of the moment.
On 29th May 2009 will be in the cinema the controversial film “Coco avant Chanel”, a film by Anne Fontaine whose protagonist is the beautiful Audrey Tatou.
In the following months it will arrive the biographic film “Coco Chanel And Igor Stravinsky” presented to the press on the occasion of the closure of the 62th edition of the Festival of Cannes. Inspired to the romance, “Coco an Igor” by Chris Greenhalgh. The film combines two biographies, mixing the life of the composer to that of the designer, who were born only one year after one another and who both died in 1971.
The life of the style designer par excellence is also the object of “Coco Chanel, The biography”, book written by Henry Gidel and published by Lindau editions.
A journey to the discovery of her wit, of her character, of the courage that made of her a protagonist of the 19th century history and custom in the pursuit of the motto “I don’t regret anything in my life, except for what I haven’t done”.
In the book shops from now on, eventually, you will find “Chanel, a fable life”. A new book by Alfonso Signorini and dedicated to the woman rather than to the designer. Published by Mondadori, Signorini traces the whole life of Gabrielle Bonheur from the childhood until the rise as the queen of the fashion realm, in a book enriched with anecdotes and not-to-be-missed details.
