Domitilla Dardi, professor of History of Industrial Design at the Ascoli Piceno Faculty of Architecture, and Federico Motta Editore present “Design in 100 objects”: a selection of cult products, witnesses of the soul of their own times.

A century-long journey, through which the transformation of simple objects, like a bottle, a chair or a corkscrew, into real popular cult objects, occurred. A strong graphic impact volume, which gives space to unique archive footage characterized by immortal charm, wisely supplied with descriptions that clarify the motivations of the choice.

Among the best-known protagonists there are: the Sedia Thonet 14 and the Fiat 500, the little bottle of Coca-Cola and the little armchair Vanity Fair by Poltrona Frau, the Piaggio Vespa, the Ferrari Testarossa and the model Easy Rider by Harley Davidson, the Singer 15K and the timeless Olivetti Valentine, signed by Ettore Sottsass, the Caboche Lamp by Foscarini and the i-Phone.

Well, a hundred items that marked, followed or anticipated the evolution of international design from the end of the XIX century till our days, becoming renowned icons, recognizable by all.
