London and Düsseldorf queens of the shows
Right after the Christmas holidays, the 2009 international boat shows schedule gets under way with a month, January, full of important exhibitions, between Europe and the New Continent.
From January 9 to January 18, it is mounted at the ExCeL, right in the heart of the city, the 55th edition of the London International Boat Show, main showcase, together with the Southampton Boat Show, of British marine boating. Over 500 exhibitors will showcase power, sail boats, yachts and dinghies, large yachts and work boats. News of the show are an area dedicated to watersports and the opportunity to join
an educational slot teaching you how to enjoy and get into boating.
From January 17 to January 25 the focus moves to Germany, at the Boot Düsseldorf, meeting point of North European and Mediterranean marine boating. The show lacks any water spaces, but it provides areas dedicated to watersports. Over 700 exhibitors, 40% coming from abroad, will showcase an estimated 1800 power, sail boats and deck equipment. On this occasion the European Yacht of the Year 2009 will be awarded to the best boats of European manufacture, according to four categories.
And finally, from January 31 to February 10, is scheduled the Båtmässan – Göteborg Boat Show, whose calendar is full of events that will run together with the presentation of yachts and boats of all sorts.
As for what concerns USA and Canadian exhibitions, between 8-11 January is scheduled the San Diego Boat Show, international meeting point offering events and areas dedicated to children; and between 10-18 January, the Toronto International Boat Show will transform the biggest indoor port of the world into the biggest water fun fair on earth, presenting again The Lake, a 2008 news, where to find an incredible variety of activities on-the-water, from fishing to private boats.
