Holiday time and thus also for luggage, practical but precious as well as the summer that we are going to live with enthusiasm.

Samsonite thought of creating an optimistic and easy view of the trip. So, the brand Samsonite Black Label decided to collaborate with the maison Viktor & Rolf. This originated a funny and practical collection, “Black Label by Viktor & Rolf”, able to make even the journey glamorous.

There are mainly three models, Ladies/Men Spinner – scarlet red and sky blue, respectively decorated with big bows and buckles – and Sallyred UpRIght, all inspired to the jets of the 1950s.

Thus, here are the slightly vintage airplanes ploughing through the printed surfaces of the bags of the collection, substituted only in one case by a more intransigent black nuance with a bow tie in the middle.

The 1950s and 1960s as years of lightheartedness and enthusiasm for new destinations: for this reason have been selected Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, both joyful, innovative and vanguard designers.

A new collection, fashion, without ignoring functionality and luxury and that, not by chance, refers to the unparalleled inheritance of the legendary Samsonite Black Label.

In view of the fall-winter 2009-2010, Samsonite chose another very popular designer, the Japanese Yohji Yamamoto, already designer of Y-3 for Adidas.

From this collaboration was born Y-3 Adidas, the journey collection in which are combined the styles of the protagonists: the sportive look of Adidas, the glamour of Yamamoto and the tradition of the leather factory by Samsonite.

Two collections will be make popular the luxury journeys of the “Samsonite travelers”: one from the classic collection, in soft black leather including a comfortable travel bag, a flat shoulder-bag and a purse and a more sportive one in blue, gray and black pinstripe.
