Maserati at the Shanghai Auto Show
The Trident in China
Maserati debuts at the Shanghai Auto Show. From April 20 to 28, 2009 the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) hosted one of the most important auto shows worldwide.
Protagonists of this much awaited showcase are Maserati GranTurismo S Automatica and the Quattroporte Sport GT S, the latest version of the gamma GranTurismo, presented in Shanghai as exclusive Asiatic preview. A great chance for the Trident Maison, for which China represents today an extremely strategic market, with a sale and services network covering 11 major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Throughout 2008 350 Maseratis were sold in China, with a 70% increase in comparison to the previous year.
During its last edition, in 2007, the Shanghai Auto Show boasted an exposition surface covering more than 140 thousand squared metres, and hosted 1300 exhibitors coming from 21 different countries, 6286 reporters coming from 43 countries and more than 500 thousand visitors from 108 states.
