The Last Samurai
From February 24, 2009 to June 2, 2009
The Antonio Mazzotta Foundation will inaugurate on February 23, 2009 the first European Exhibition dedicated to the world of Samurai at Palazzo Reale in Milan.
Through the Samurai’s clothing, the exhibition, curated by Giuseppe Piva, retraces the political and social history of Japan (Edo Period 1600-1800). The armours on show belong to the Koelliker collection, unique in Europe and one of the most important for quality and number of pieces.
At the same time of the exhibition, a series of events will take place throughout the entire city of Milan: meetings dedicated to theatre, music, martial arts and gastronomy.
Palazzo Reale, piazza del Duomo 12, Milan 20122
Opening Times: every day 9.30-19.30; Thursdays 9.30-22.30
