The Piedmontese brand, worldwide leader of performance running, has recently launched a new campaign "Sound Mind Sound Body" whose testimonial is volleyball player Francesca Piccinini.

A new Campaign on Youtube The acronym has always pointed it out: Asics stands for “Anima Sana in Corpore Sano”.

To underline this concept, the Piedmontese brand, worldwide leader of performance running, has recently launched a new advertising campaign whose testimonial is the beautiful volleyball player Francesca Piccinini.

In order to enhance the visibility of the brand and underlining its uniqueness, a new spot was realized and it was recently posted on YouTube. Electronic music beats the strides of runners sharing the value of the brand for which sound mind coincides with sound body. To put into practice the slogan “sound mind sound body”, New Zealand photographer Ross Brown frames into his shots 5 athletes, 2 men and 3 women, while they are busy running on their own imaginary road.

From this, the new concept dedicated to the icon of an imaginary road was created “Running is freedom, imagination, Asics invites you to find your own way, both for body and mind, you can run on long or short paths, be them straight or tortuous, as your imagination has no limits”, as explained by Art Director Lennart Driessen. He continues: “Campaigns of the past year were all set against a white world, and people nowadays start associating this to the Asics brand. The new campaign shows people in this white world, each with her own unique path on which to run. Your body takes you from one place to the other, but the true journey is within your mind”.

A journey this, that continues throughout the process of choosing testimonials coming from the sports’ field but with a glam soul like Francesca Piccinini who now links her name to the volleyball shoes for women Asics Beyond. The hitter of Foppapedretti Bergamo comes right after other national champions such as walkers Stefano Baldini and Alex Schwazer, as well as tennis players Mara Santangelo and Filippo Volandri and ice-stars Enrico Fabris and Carolina Kostner, so to confirm the effort of the brand in always aiming at high-performance, apart from glamour, products. This is the reason why celebrities are not just faces but true partners called in to give technical advices regarding the development of the products.
