Moving to Yas Marina, featuring many docking and mooring structures and a significant number of slots, was necessary due to the need of a huge quay capable to host a bigger edition of the boat show. The latter focuses especially on superyachts and megayachts. The success of the first edition, whose sales reached the value of over 100 million dollars, lets us forecast opportunities for first class business.

The new location is more than adequately equipped to handle the growing number of exhibitors and the number of yachts that will enter the show 2010. The program of the exhibition has been improved and strengthened and they are trying to create the ideal atmosphere to encourage meetings, business and the global interaction among the guests, exhibitors, visitors and potential buyers.

Taking place under the aegis of His Excellence Sheikn Mohammed Bin Zayed Bin Al Nayhan, hereditary prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy captain in chief of the Armed Force of the United Arab Emirates, the show is seen as a fundamental element to crystallize the growing reputation of Abu Dhabi as a nautical destination at an international level.

The boat emphasizes, through the modern style, the typical quality and exclusivity of the brand Colombo. The deck has a contemporary design that Nuvolari and Lenard designed for this new model. The naval architecture firm Victory Design of Brunello Acampora, instead, designed the hull.

In the simplicity of its layout, with well furnished cockpit and large sundeck, there is his functionality. On the design, the choice of materials, the care of construction, depends, instead, its exclusivity.

The stern turns into the gangway and “beach”, taking up a distinctive feature of the range, already proposed on the model 26.

New model in the Absolute maison: the 42 HT comes into being. Elegance and a contemporary taste of the design are granted by its dynamic lines, wide side windows with sliding glass panes on the lower and upper deck ensure a perfect natural light in every environment, the smooth high-performance hull permits to install both kinds of motorization: the Volvo Penta D6 with 330 Hp or D4 with 300 Hp stern drive, as well as the innovative IPS 500 or IPS 600 engines.

From the wide teak platform with access to the tender garage (2.20 m long), you get to the cockpit dinette, with a height-regulating table, which can be turned into a big bow sunbathing area. Italian version

Magnum Marine revealed the largest yacht ever built by the shipyard, the Magnum 100.

Katrin Theodoli – President of Magnum Marine – presents the new boat: “This is an entirely new yacht in which we, of the shipyard, believe a lot. Top performances and optimum sea-holding are two elements that we would never intend to compromise…This is a much more efficient boat, when compared to older models, both in terms of technology and in terms of consumption. A new generation boat, much greener than all other Magnums.”

The styling was designed by the talented young, Italian designer, Alberto Mancini. The Magnum 100′ has different seating, dining and viewing areas, with an expandable top providing various and movable shaded areas. Hull length is 29 metres, beam is 6 metres and draft is approximately 1,37 metres.

Technologically designed by Magnum Marine to be eco friendly, Magnum emphasizes weight saving through the use of stronger and lighter materials. The vessel is built in advanced composite foams and carbon fiber, allowing to save more than 20% in weight compared to similar models; also making the vessel structure more rigid and more efficient.

The Magnum 100 can be defined a “double-speed motoryacht.” As optional equipment the new yacht will have an electric “harbor” drive, which is specially designed to propel the yacht at slow speeds: an electric wing engine for slow speed operation, which runs virtually silent and smoke free. No noise and no more exhaust fumes.

In case the owner requires a boost in performance and speed, s/he can kick in the twin MTU diesel engine generating an output of 2600hp or even triple MTU diesel engine to reach 55 knots.

The Magnum designed Interior LED and fluorescent lighting will increase efficiency and decrease interior heat load.

Interiors, as for every Magnum Marine model, will be entirely customized by the owner.

As far as it concerns the layout, the new Magnum 100 includes four double and very large staterooms, heads, reception and salon areas and of course comfortable crew cabins.

It is also provided with a number of accessories, including state-of-the-art electrical appliances.

The light boat trailer tires turn the engine power into speed, agility and manageability.
Everything is meant to maximize the comfort. The inflatable tube synonim of safety, makes the RIB-based boat utterly unsinkable, while smoothing out the rolling effect, allowing for effective turning in rough seas and protecting against waves splash in all weathers. The shore allows for a direct contact with the water. The interior dinette, covered in the central part of the boat, can host up to twelve people while the bridge is lifted and central so to have always the maximum control of the boat.

Thanks to the experience of Andrea Cardinetti, owner of the shipyard, the boat has been created with the most advanced production systems CAD-CAM.
The shapes, however, are the result of a great care to make both interior and exterior very liveable spaces and the navigation comfortable.

Italian version

The famous car tuning brand transformed the Sacs Strider 12S in Powershore Abarth SP (Sport Prototype), a maxi RIB, inspired by the world of powerboat racing.

Propelled by three 350 hp Yamaha V8 outboard engines, specially built for this version, the boat has thrilling acceleration and reaches a very high speed. The power of the boat can be enjoyed in all safety and ease thanks to the stability and the flotation devices.

Christian Grande, the author of the original project “Strider 12S”, elaborated the version with the aid of FGA Style Centre. Special graphics combine with out-and-out racing motifs.

After the charm of sailing yachts by Perini of the Perini Navi Cup, the giants of the sea come back to the Smeralda Coast with the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, from 6 to 12 September 2009 in the waters of Porto Cervo.

The event is one of the classic appointments of the sailing season of the Smeralda Coast Yacht Club. The fleet will compete over coastal paths winding along the oriental coast of Sardinia. The categories are: racing, cruising, wally, mini maxi and spirit of tradition. For the first time the maxi swan class will also participate, and Porto Cervo is the third stop of the 2009 circuit.

Among the protagonists of the regatta there will be Alfa Romeo, belonging to new-Zealander shipowner  Neville Crichton, winner of his category in 2003 and 2006 with the previous yacht carrying the same name.
Great waiting also for the Gliss, owned by shipowner Marco Vogele, first classified at the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in June. To represent Italy there will be 36-metre Viriella, owned by shipowner Vittorio Moretti and Solleone owned by Leonardo Ferragamo, President of Nautor’s Swan.
